SCHOOL SUPPLIES NEEDED   The Independence Charter School in Philadelphia where Elie D. teaches is in need of school supplies. Elie will be at both worship gatherings NEXT SUNDAY, August 31, to collect the supplies. Items needed are:

Pencils, Scissors, Dry erase markers, Flip chart markers, Scotch tape, Staplers/staples, Glue sticks, Permanent markers, Masking tape, Post-it notes, Chalk, Construction paper

Here's another chance to help participate in the mission of Christ.

LOOK CLOSER DANCE COMPANY   Formed by Hannah Nolan Focht, this company will be performing Take a Step Back as part of the Philly Fringe Festival on Saturday, September 6, at 7:00 p.m. and Sunday, September 7, at 3:00 p.m. at the Painted Bride Art Center, 230 Vine Street, Philadelphia. Take a Step Back grapples with issues of injustice, asking questions that are by no means new, but have always been complex and beg to be explored. OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD   Current back-to-school sales provide great opportunities to stock up on pencils, crayons, markers, notebooks, pens, pencils, pencil sharpeners and calculators. These are great items that needy children around the world would love to receive in their Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes

APARTMENT NEEDED   A woman in our church is looking for a dog-friendly apartment. If you have information on an available place, please call Kathy N. at 610.495.8448.

SUMMER HELPERS NEEDED FOR VALLEY KIDS   Summer always presents challenges for the children's ministry as many of our volunteers will be taking well-earned vacations. If you can help one or two Sundays during the summer, please contact Jill S. at 610.933.6365 or ChrisNJillSlawecki@comcast.net

MEN'S GROUP   A group for the men meets on Tuesday evenings from 8:00-10:00 at the home of John T. in Royersford. The group usually consists of a Bible study or teaching series. Men can experience a smaller community setting to help them grow in their love for Christ and strengthen their walk with him. If you're interested, please contact John at 610.745.1193.

PRAYER GATHERING FOR MEN   All men are invited to gather for prayer on the last Friday of each month from 12-1 p.m. at 219 Anderson Avenue in Phoenixville. For more information contact Rich G. at 610.917.3618.

TWO GROUPS PRAY FOR METHACTON SCHOOL DISTRICT   If you're interested in praying for your children and the district, two groups are meeting once a month:
Every THIRD TUESDAY of the month at Carla Tuhacek's home from 1:30-2:30 p.m.
Every THIRD THURSDAY of the month at Jen Carter's home from 9:00-10:00 a.m.

HELPING HANDS MINISTRY   If you need help or know someone else who does, please contact our Helping Hands coordinator, Sue Gillmore.

SPIRITUAL HELP AVAILABLE   The Daniel Foundation is a local non-profit organization that provides spiritual friendships for those who are considering the Christian faith but have lingering doubts or unanswered questions. If you need a safe person with whom to discuss your doubts or to assist you in your spiritual quest please contact Greg.Porter@danielfoundation.net.
